Services
We collect, treat, and dispose of wastewater
about 4 million gallons daily.

We recycle wastewater to high levels of purity for reuse as irrigation water for large landscapes, such as the championship golf course at the famed La Costa Resort & Spa.

We can produce up to 350 million gallons of recycled water per year at our Gafner plant. We are now working to expand our wastewater recycling program, with a goal of one billion gallons per year.

Our operations feature the use of advanced technology. Pipelines are regularly video-inspected to assure that they are secure and leak free. Computer mapping systems and mathematical modeling are used to design and maintain facilities so that they work.

Leucadia Wastewater District covers a total service area of 16 square miles and provides services to 60,000 residents in a boundary that includes the original service area in Leucadia as well as the La Costa area in Carlsbad and northern Encinitas.
