Students Named as Finalist in Statewide Video Contest

The finalists have the chance to win one of three scholarship prizes and an additional $500 for a teacher nominated by the student. The first-place winner will receive $2000, while second place will receive $1000, and third will receive $500.

Students were challenged to create a video of 90 seconds or less about California’s special districts in a creative and interesting way.  The videos were judged based on four categories: Accuracy & Effectiveness, Creativity & Originality, Production Quality, and Entertainment Value.

Districts Make the Difference is a public outreach campaign that was launched by the California Special Districts Association (CSDA) to raise awareness and understanding for special districts. CSDA is a 501c(6), not-for-profit association that was formed in 1969 to promote good governance and improved core local services through professional development, advocacy and other services for all types of independent special districts.
