LWD is proud to help and support our local teachers and their projects that will educate their students about water resource management and ocean water pollution prevention. All projects will benefit over 6,000 students in the Encinitas Unified School and San Dieguito School Districts.

Last week, MISCO Water and the District held Technology Day for vendors to showcase their advanced water and wastewater treatment equipment and other products to local wastewater and water agencies.
It was an inspiring day, as water professionals came together to discuss cutting edge technology and work together towards innovative solutions. Our state-of-the-art liquified oxygen system was showcased for how it helps to reduce odor.

If you're cooking or baking any yummy treats with fats, oils or grease (FOG)- make sure you know what to do with the FOG! Here's a refresher, below ⬇️
Let FOG cool, pour them in a can, and seal the can with a lid. Pouring FOG down your drain can potentially cause a sewer backup in your home and may lead to a sewer spill.
This upcoming Saturday October 28th from 10am-2pm, turn in prescription drugs safely and anonymously during the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The City of Carlsbad Police Department and San Diego Police Department are nearby for safe disposal sites in the District. Locate more disposal sites here: https://takebackday.dea.gov/
