Sewer Line Inspection in Progress

Preventive video inspection of underground sewer pipes to identify issues and protect the community.

You may see our crew working from a sewer manhole using camera inspection equipment. This work is part of routine sewer system inspection to evaluate pipe condition and help prevent future problems.

What are we doing?

We are performing CCTV (closed-circuit television) inspection of the public sewer main. A small, remotely operated camera is sent through the pipe to visually inspect its condition from the inside.

Why is this inspection important?

Video inspections help us:

  • Identify cracks, defects, or pipe damage
  • Detect roots, debris, or build-ups inside the pipe
  • Evaluate aging infrastructure
  • Plan maintenance or repairs before failures occur

This proactive approach helps reduce the risk of sewer backups, overflows, and emergency repairs.

What should residents expect today?

  • Crews working from manholes
  • Cones and safety devices near the work area
  • No interruption to sewer service
  • Possible minimal traffic or sidewalk impacts near the work zone

How can residents help prevent clogs?

  • Do not flush wipes or hygiene products
  • Do not pour grease or oils down drains

This work is temporary, and crews move location to location throughout the day.

Please keep a safe distance

Stay out of the coned work zone and follow posted safety signs.
