Teacher Grant Program - 2018/2019 School Year Winners!

Congratulations to our four Grant Winners for the 2018 / 2019 School Year!

 

June Honsberger - La Costa Canyon High School: Awarded a $2,000 grant to help fund an on-going project for drought tolerant gardens throughout the school.

Nancy Jois - Capri Elementary School: Awarded an $1,100 grant to help fund a project teaching kindergarteners about where water comes from and how the water cycle functions in San Diego. 

Carrie Lancon - Capri Elementary School: Awarded a $1,500 grant to help fund Capri's "Capri Wave - Plastic Free Under the Sea" project.

Jennifer Smith - El Camino Creek Elementary School: Awarded a $1,334.18 grant to help fund a Hydroponics Garden and teach students where their food comes from and the importance of not wasting.

LWD is proud to help and support our local teachers and their projects that will educate their students about water resource management and ocean water pollution prevention. All projects will benefit over 6,000 students in the Encinitas Unified School and San Dieguito School Districts.
