Great work by our Field Services team! During routine hydro-cleaning on Olivenhain Rd, our crew pulled a tree branch from a sewer pipeline. This find triggered an immediate investigation.
What they discovered:
An opened manhole in a nearby park/easement area
Large rocks and additional debris inside the pipeline
A damaged perimeter fence near the affected manhole
Our team conducted a CCTV inspection, followed by a confined space entry to remove the obstruction by hand - preventing what could have been a serious blockage near a creek bed and environmentally sensitive area.
⚠️Important reminders: Sewer manholes should never be opened by unauthorized individuals. An open manhole is a serious safety hazard - a person or pet could fall in and be swept away by the flow.
