Recently, we welcomed students, veterans, and future water professionals to another incredible Water Career Day - a day filled with hands-on learning, live demos, and real-world insight into the water and wastewater industry.

Alongside our partners at Olivenhain Municipal Water District and San Elijo Joint Powers Authority, we empowered students in exploring equipment and infrastructure while hearing directly from the people who keep our systems running.

Our team participated in mutual aid training with the City of Encinitas a few weeks ago - a valuable opportunity to strengthen coordination, sharpen emergency response skills, and stay ready to serve our community when it matters most.
We’re proud to highlight the collaboration happening behind the scenes.

We’ve updated the signage at LWD Headquarters and the Batiquitos Pump Station - part of our continued efforts to keep our facilities looking as professional as the team that runs them.

Here’s a first look at the new sign at HQ!

Congratulations to everyone involved in making Water Career Day an outstanding success! We’re honored to stand alongside San Elijo Joint Powers Authority and Olivenhain Municipal Water District in winning the WateReuse Association California Public Outreach Award. Here’s to more collaboration and inspiring the next generation of water professionals together!

You might not see them every day, but our Field Services team is out in the community keeping things flowing smoothly - inspecting manholes, maintaining pump stations, and responding to emergencies 24/7.

These folks are the unsung heroes of public health and safety! Give them a 👋 next time you see them in the neighborhood.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the OMWD Open House & Emergency Preparedness Event recently!

We had a great time connecting with the community, sharing how our team keeps the wastewater system running safely, and talking about how we all play a role in protecting public health and our environment.

Big thanks to Olivenhain Municipal Water District for hosting such a successful event, and to all the partner agencies who joined us!

At the recent Board meeting, Superintendent Marvin Gonzalez was recognized for an incredible milestone - 20 years of service with Leucadia Wastewater District!
We’re grateful for Marvin’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to keeping our systems running safely and efficiently. Here's to two decades of excellence - and counting!

We’ll be out at the Olivenhain Municipal Water District Open House tomorrow at 9am–12pm, ready to connect with the community, and share how we’re working to protect public health and the environment, every day.

Stop by our booth and say hello. We’d love to see you there!
