If you're cooking or baking any yummy treats with fats, oils or grease (FOG)- make sure you know what to do with the FOG! Here's a refresher, below ⬇️
Let FOG cool, pour them in a can, and seal the can with a lid. Pouring FOG down your drain can potentially cause a sewer backup in your home and may lead to a sewer spill.

This upcoming Saturday October 28th from 10am-2pm, turn in prescription drugs safely and anonymously during the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Did you know the District has stickers? Our Field Services Team uses combination trucks that help clear blockages in sewer lines. Custom stickers were created to hand out to students and the community when we have the opportunity to educate children on wastewater management.

We’re ending California Water Professionals Appreciation Week by sharing this video showcasing our dedicated Field Services Technicians (FSTs) in action as they clean up an easement in a local canyon. 🌳✨
In this video, you'll learn how our FSTs maintain easements by clearing debris periodically.
This is important so they are able to easily access manholes in case of an emergency situation such as a sewer spill. It's a true testament to the power of teamwork and environmental stewardship!
