Happy Thanksgiving from Leucadia Wastewater District🍂

Are you frying your turkey this holiday season? Or cooking and baking with oil?

The correct way to dispose of Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) is by letting them cool, pouring them in a can, sealing the can with a lid, and then throwing it in the trash. With larger quantities of oil, pour the oil into a sealed container and place it in the trash bin. Pouring FOG down your drain might cause a sewer backup in your home and may lead to a sewer spill.

Our latest Downstream newsletter was mailed to our customers last week. You may also read it online by visiting our website. In it, we highlight how to prevent sewer spills, educational videos and more. Feel free to share this issue and subscribe to receive it digitally here: https://conta.cc/2T4pnUw
